Cayo Coco is one of the fascinating keys in Jardines del Rey , in Sabana Camagüey archipelago on the northern coast of Cuba. Jardines del Rey (Gardens of the King) was named by Spanish explorer Diego Velázquez, who between 1513 and 1514 wanted to honour to Spanish King “Fernando el Catolico”. Cayo Coco is a natural reserve where as many as 159 different kinds of birds have been sighted and Cuba’s largest flamingo colony is located there.
